Description: The intimate and interactive setting of MYSTERY FLORIDA is a rich alternative to cram-and-jam conferences that leave you whirling and wanting. Participants are offered two days of panels on the technology, business, and craft necessary to writing the bestselling suspense, thriller or mystery novel. The first day of MYSTERY FLORIDA 2011 features “special capacities” agents from the FBI and forensics specialists, plus literary agents, content and acquisitions editors, and publishing representatives. Day Two welcomes a host of today’s most accomplished and compelling writers of the genre. The Conference takes place in the airy, elegant spaces of the Hyatt Regency Sarasota, where the Gulf of Mexico meets downtown under unrivaled sunsets.

Fees include all panels for the day(s) you select, plus morning coffee/tea concession and a catered lunch. Registration for the Friday/Saturday Full Schedule also includes entry to the Mystery Writers of America cocktail party.

MYSTERY FLORIDA offers a full-service schedule, with no “a la carte” add-ons that increase your conference registration fees. The Patrons Dinner is the only separate charge for those wishing to break bread with speakers and authors at the Hyatt’s Boathouse Restaurant, amid wrap-around windows on the Marina.

*2011 marks the launch of the Mystery Florida Membership. Over the course of the next year you will receive automatic electronic updates on authors, releases, events, plus have the opportunity to offer your ideas and opinions as next year’s conference is developed. Your $25.99 membership fee will also be applied as a discount against the cost of the 2012 Conference. Conference registration is a condition of membership.
